The performance of a centrifugal pump can be expressed in three ways:
Flow Expressed in GPM (Q)
Head Expressed in Feet of total dynamic head or ∆P
Power Expressed in KW or horsepower

The above assumes we are pumping water and would require an additional modification if the fluid pumped is lighter or heavier than water.
Many pump systems have flow meters.
Many pump users have amp or KW meter available.
Many pump systems have a discharge pressure gauge.
However, very few systems have the means to measure ∆P or Total Dynamic Head of their pump.
For most systems, $100 will buy you (2) high quality pressure gauges. Depending on your system, you may need to select a “compound gauge” that can read pressure and vacuum as many pumps experience a vacuum on the suction side of the pump.
By having these instruments, you will always be able to know exactly how the pump is performing and compare that to its original rating and curve.
As a minimum, be certain to include a tap with isolation valve. Your TEC representative has test gauges you can easily install if there are provisions for them.
